This is a very commonly asked question for our customer service team. In fact, it happens very often - we all know it. But why, and is it safe to use?
The clumping is due to the hygroscopic ingredients which are the following:
*L-Carnitine *Beta Alanine
In short, these ingredients are attracting water molecules at room temperature. But there is no reason to worry as this has absolutely no impact on the safety and quality of the product. If you have had pre workouts before that did not clump up, it may have contained some artificial anti caking agents. The only problem with the clumpy product is that it can be more difficult to follow the recommended dosage. We have some tips and tricks for you on how to fix or prevent clumping pre- workouts:
*Always close the lid properly
*Keep the silica packets buried in your powder
*Stir or shake it frequently to ensure that they have not settled
*Store in fridge and make sure the lid closed tight
*Break the lumps with a knife to make the powder fine
*Put the solid powder in a blender to break loose, then it can go back in the tub.
Once the product has been opened, we advise you to consume within 6 weeks.
Hardened, clumpy pre workout powder is something that is normal and can happen to almost any pre workout in the market despite its quality or duration.
We hope this will be useful for you all and may solve some of your problems with pre workout supplements.
