The newest “soups and shakes” diet research on type 2 diabetes shows significant effectiveness on weight loss which would work for everybody.
The new study shows that almost a third of the participants can put their type 2 diabetes in remission. They have been put on a “soups and shakes diet” (830-900kcal/day) for 3-5 months.
The result of this diet is promising. All over the group (7,540 participants), 32% were able to put their condition into remission, with a standard weight loss of 15.9kg and with some weight loss of up to 17.4kg.
NHS England made a statement that their new program Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission could help thousands of people with the condition also for people with obesity. Adults aged between 18-65 can enroll in this program if they have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in the last 6 years and if they have a body mass index over 27.
Having doubts?
It is a fact that this type of diet; if someone can stick to it, could work especially well in the short term – good for everyone. A Liquid diet can lower your blood sugar level, cholesterol level and boost your metabolism.
Be sure to have a little look on the ingredients panel of the shakes and bars that NHS can offer, free of charge. You will see that they are often ultra processed & loaded with artificial additives. It could give you quick results but won’t benefit you for the long term.
